Richard P Moore describes the life of John the Baptist. He was, as Jesus described, the “greatest man to have ever lived.” John the Baptist is certainly a ministry example for us.
Jesus said “Among those born of women there has not risen one greater then John the Baptist” (Matthew 11:11; Luke 7:28)
John the Baptist was a fascinating man. He performed most of his public ministry in the wilderness in the southern part of the Jordan river. He dressed himself in camel’s hair and ate locusts and honey. This must’ve been a very comfortable wardrobe, and a very tasty diet, But these were not the things that defined him. What defined his life and legacy was who he pointed to…”The lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
